What we’re looking for:

An enthusiastic and ambitious candidate to run our culinary division and help us support the growth of our company

Someone who can take the lead in creating operational processes to support our culinary division, from ingredients selection and recipes development to quality control and product performance.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop seasonal recipes using healthy and sustainably produced and sourced foods

  • Create and develop standards, recipes and systems to ensure the highest quality food products and operating practice

  • Collaborate with the operations team to analyze costs and prices of current menu in order to identify opportunities and strategies to improve revenue, lower costs and increase quality

  • Conduct market trend research that will feed into our decision making processes for menu development

  • Start and manage ongoing testing of menu items, equipment, utensils, packaging, recipes & quality

  • Collaborate with the operations team to create and manage standard processes to implement seasonal menu, including tools and operating practices to train and enable other team members to deliver high quality food products

  • Develop and implement quality control process to maintain high standard in both food quality and presentation

  • Provide regular reporting on menu and product performance.  Identifying opportunities and strategies to improve revenue, costs, and promotion of healthy and sustainably produced and sourced foods

  • Develop and implement food safety operating practice to maintain A grade from Health Department across our three locations

  • Validate and verify that all tools created and tested are complete, efficient and user friendly before implementing them

  • Implement and monitor all tools and operating process with articulated success metrics, time frames and milestones

Desired Experience:

  • Food Science or any other relevant culinary degree.

  • Experience in large scale food production, 3+ years in corporate chef or culinary role.

  • Track record of proven successful menu development and implementation in a large food service company

  • P&L management, product life cycle, as well as performance analysis of menu items

  • Proficient in honest, open, and effective communication with internal and external partners

  • Thinks creatively while acting practically, being aware of the operational constraints of the fast-casual industry
